More on
Pastor Mark… Pastor Mark grew up in the Pensacola
area. At the age of 23 he gave his life to the Lord. It wasn’t
long after he meet his wife Melissa and they were soon married.
Mark spent 11 years working as a pipe fitter at Solutia Chemical
plant. In 1999, after a mission trip to the country of Moldova,
he surrendered his life to the preaching of God’s word. In
2000 he was licensed to the gospel ministry and served as associate
pastor for 4 years at his home church, F.B.C. of Cottage Hill. In
2004, Pastor Mark and His family moved from Pensacola to New Orleans
in order to pursue a theological education. They lived in New Orleans
for one year and then moved to Pearl River, La 2 weeks before hurricane
Katrina hit. While in Pearl River, Mark served as the pastor of
Evans Creek Baptist Church, where they experienced nearly 2 years
of great ministry and made a life time of new friends. At the conclusion
of 2006, Mark’s home church, Cottage Hill, called and requested
his resume as a potential candidate for the available pastor position.
Through much prayer, Mark and his family believed this was a new
door of opportunity for them and accepted the invitation. Pastor
Mark and his family are now back home serving the church and community
dear to their heart. We give God all the Glory!
